Someone asked Hedberg if he was nervous starting his first game in 10 days, since losing to the Boston Bruins Nov. 15 in Boston.
"I’m always a little bit nervous," he said. "And if I’m not nervous, I’m nervous because I’m not nervous. Because I think I’m not focused."

nos 7-3-0 az utolso tiz meccsunk, es egy idegenbeli turan tulvagyunk. hozni kell a ket Isles meccset kotelezoen. a Divizio meg mindig bivaly, bar a Ragsot foghatjuk a heten, ha minden jol megy. meg mindig basz a Panthers elleni meccs, csakugy mint a Bruins ellen (bazz, ok 10-0-0 )

I think the way PDB is using Marty and Moose is wise. At their age and at this stage of their careers, it is a good idea to split the work somewhat, especially on back-to-back nights. In the long run, this will keep Marty (and Moose) fresh. And sharp. Should the Devils be fortunate to qualify for the playoffs, that might be the time to shift away from that philosophy and go with one goaltender, but for now some sort of rotation and keeping your guys fresh so they are ready and eager to play when called upon seems like a good strategy.
To Brodeur's great credit, he seems to have moved from the "I want to play every night" mode to understanding that age ultimately impacts one's career, and at this point what is best for the club is to play when fully ready and capable and not make waves/be fully supportive when it makes some sense for him to rest a bit. That should not surprise Devils fans -- he has always been one very, very supportive of the organization -- they are fortunate to have a "team first" perspective from a great player near the end of his career. That makes the process far easier.

He’s (Brodeur) in a good frame of mind, playing for his 12th Devils coach behind a group of many young players he feels are the foundation of a bright future.
“They always were able to do a good job of adding people,” Brodeur said of Devils management. “That’s why we were able to be in the playoffs for so long. Because we never really did a complete turnover. The circumstances last year helped us discover some young talent. Maybe in a good year those guys would’ve never had that kind of a chance. And they’ll flourish.
“It’s good for the organization to have a year like that to be able to explore what you have. I think they showed it. You walk into this locker room and these guys are our team now.”
Like rookie defenseman Adam Larsson.
“We got lucky on that mega ball system. We won the lottery,” Brodeur suggested. “I think everything happens for a reason. We never threw in the towel last year. We tried to make the playoffs and we got compensated by being lucky and getting the fourth pick. That’s maybe karma.”

No suspension or fine for Tyler Myers hit to head on Devils' Dainius Zubrus
Shanahan planned to call Myers to discuss the matter but no disciplinary action will be taken.
Devils general manager Lou Lamoriello preferred not to comment on the hit.
"I don't get involved in that," he said.

“I’m not looking at the stats with him. I’m looking at how he plays and I think he’s in a good place,” DeBoer said. “I think the numbers are going to come. I feel the same way with Zach. The numbers don’t reflect where those guys’ games are at now and where they are mentally. I think that’s going to sort itself out.”

Tedenby stayed out longest. He said he isn't shocked to be a healthy scratch.
"Not really. I have to be better," he said. "I think I played pretty good yesterday, except in the third maybe.
"I'll save some energy and when I get the chance again I'm going to go for it."
He was minus-2 in Boston, on the ice for a couple of goals-against.
"One of them maybe I should have gotten the puck out earlier and then we were in the zone for a while. There were a lot of mistakes on the goals. Not just me," he said.
Does he think DeBoer is trying to give him a kick in the butt?
"I don't know. Maybe. Sometimes you need it to get you going again." Tedenby said. "I take it as a positive and go forward."

DeBoer nem bizik Teddyben, mert nem megy vissza vedekezni eleg gyakran. de bazmeg a csavo hulyet csinalt az egesz Bruinsbol egy adott ponton sikegyedul.... enis nagyon csipem, sztem sem kellene kihagyni....

az utolso kapott golon kivul az osszes a sajat balfaszkodasainkbol jott ossze, pedig gecijol toltuk vegig. Henriquet meg egyre jobban csipem enis. Ma cincaljuk szet buffalot, foleg h nincs miller sem. akkurvaeletbe de pipa vagyok.

"He's a guy that individually we've spent a lot of time with," coach Pete DeBoer said today. "I'll tell you exactly the way I explained it to him. He has to get my trust defensively that I can play him with the lead late in third periods at critical times.
As for the team in general, DeBoer isn't fully satisfied.
"I like a lot of the things we're doing. We still have areas we have to clean up," DeBoer said. "I don't think I have a yes or no answer to that. We need to obviously get more power play goals. We need to take our defensive game to a level where it's more consistent night in and night out.
"I think we have full buy-in from everybody, which is good. They show up and they've competed hard almost every night, so there are some good things happening but we've got work to do."
After 13 games last season the Devils were 3-9-1. They are 7-5-1 this season.
