LOS ANGELES TIMES: Eric Stephens reports Anaheim Ducks GM Brian Burke admitted he'd had interest in Forsberg but was told by his agent that Forsberg had no interest in signing with the Ducks. Burke also dismissed a CBC-TV report on Saturday claiming he was looking at acquiring LA Kings blueliner Rob Blake.
SPECTOR'S NOTE: Hat tip to "Shawn" for the Rocky Mountain News link. Colorado does have the advantage of cap space and familiarity and if the Flyers drop out of the running I think they'd have a strong chance of signing Forsberg. Still, given his current struggles I'm not convinced he's returning this season...if at all. As for that silly rumor of Burke chasing Blake, given the Ducks depth at the blueline it made no sense to suggest he was pursuing yet another big name defenceman when his obvious need is for more scoring.

A legutóbbi meccsünkön hazai pályán nektek kedveztek, most egál van.
Néha nem értelek. Te tényleg azt hiszed, hogy a Wings All-Star gálához hasonló tiszta, minden elemében megfelelő, mintahokit játszik? Mind a ketten tudjuk a választ.

Selanne hopes to play with Ducks on Tuesday
The Ducks right wing is expected to make his season debut vs. the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum -- the same building in which Selanne played his first game with the Ducks nearly 12 years ago.
PHILADELPHIA -- Nearly 12 years after debuting with the then-Mighty Ducks in a game against the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, N.Y., Teemu Selanne is set to begin what amounts to his third stint with the club Tuesday night in the same antiquated but tradition-rich building.
"I know – full circle," Selanne said after Monday's practice at Wachovia Center and before the Ducks bussed to Long Island, where they will attempt to snap a season-high six-game losing streak.
Selanne, who signed a one-year, pro-rated contract Jan. 28 after having spent the season's first four months contemplating retirement, pronounced himself ready for action. While Randy Carlyle wouldn't commit to playing Selanne, the Ducks coach has said all along that it would be primarily the player's call.
"I think I'm in," Selanne said. "I feel pretty good. The final stage always happens in games. I don't think by practicing any more it's going to make the situation better.
"I'm at the level I need to step on the ice. Obviously, I'm going to be patient. I'm not going to expect to right away be at the same level that I was the last couple of years."
Selanne, 37, is coming off back-to-back 40-goal seasons, having become the first player in NHL history to accomplish that after having turned 35. He led the Ducks, and finished third in the league, with 48 goals and had a team-high 94 points last season.
Of the 540 goals and 1,135 points in Selanne's magnificent career that began with the Winnipeg Jets in 1992, a team-record 313 goals and 666 points have come with the Ducks. Selanne, who was traded to the San Jose Sharks in 2001 but rejoined the Ducks as a free agent in 2005, needs four points to move past former linemate Paul Kariya and become the leading scorer in franchise history.
Selanne's first goal as a Duck came in his first game with the team, a 4-3 road loss to the Islanders on Feb. 10, 1996. That was three days after the club's initial general manager, Jack Ferreira, pulled off a monumental trade that landed Selanne, center Marc Chouinard and a fourth-round selection in the 1996 entry draft from Winnipeg for defenseman Oleg Tverdovsky, center Chad Kilger and a third-round pick that year.
The Ducks have been shut out in back-to-back games and scored only three goals in their past five games. They are in desperate need of an offensive boost, but Carlyle has repeatedly cautioned that unrealistic expectations not be placed on Selanne.
"It's always a challenge for any player that comes back into your lineup after an extended absence," Carlyle said. "We think he's a special player in the respect that he can offer some dynamics with his speed and his offensive abilities, but it's totally unfair to put that pressure on him in his first game. All we're looking for is him to come in and be a safe player. Be Teemu Selanne – don't be anything else.
"When you inject that type of personality into your room, it can't be a negative."
NOTES
Defenseman Chris Pronger, the latest victim of flu-like symptoms that have plagued many of the Ducks the past week, did not practice Monday. He was at the rink and is expected to play against the Islanders. … Defenseman Mathieu Schneider, who has missed the past two games because of a sprained left wrist, practiced but remains questionable. … Center Samuel Pahlsson went through a demanding skate and reported progress in his bid to overcome effects of abdominal inflammation that have sidelined him since Christmas.

Speculation is brewing that Anaheim Ducks GM Brian Burke could be in the market for a potential big name player by the deadline.
LOS ANGELES TIMES: Eric Stephens reports Anaheim Ducks GM Brian Burke is seeking more offense but he might not be willing to part with the first round picks in this year's draft that he acquired from the Edmonton Oilers (currently 14th overall in the Western Conference) as compensation for the Oilers signing away Dustin Penner last summer. The Ducks are believed interested in Toronto's Mats Sundin, while Marian Hossa might also be available, but to acquire players like those could cost the Ducks a top prospect like Bobby Ryan or Brian Salcido, possibly a roster player plus the Edmonton pick. Burke admitted he's evaluating all scenarios but won't be forced into making a panic trade to bolster his offense.
ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER: Dan Wood also reports Burke is considering his options but also notes that Burke said he's "not a big trade-deadline guy", adding he'd like to see how his roster performs when Sami Pahlsson, Mathieu Schneider and Teemu Selanne return to the lineup.
SPECTOR'S NOTE: Burke could pull off a surprise deal by the deadline for a big name scorer, but I think he'll be patient and see how well those aforementioned players adjust to their return to the lineup and how their contributions affect the Ducks. Should their additions sufficiently bolster the Ducks Burke will have no need to swing a major deadline deal.

Marchant - kolonc
1st - no comment

Valahogy így: Weight+Marchant+ bochenski for Jokinen
Vagy:
Marchant+Kunitz+Edmonton 1st for Hossa
Vagy:
Marchant+ Kunitz for jokinen
Vagy
Bochenski+ Kunitz+Weight for Hossa
Vagy
Weight+Kunitz for Jokinen
Ennyi. 155 perce nem lőttünk gólt. Viszont kapjuk számolatlanul. Elképesztően gyengék vagyunk.
Ja!!!
Schneider nem játszott!!
Akár ilyet is csinálhatnánk:
Schneider+Kunitz for Hossa ---- Scheider+1st for Jokinen
