After the Blues game, I started worrying a bit. As you could see earlier, I tried to find some positive aspects of every game even if it was a blank. I don't pay much attention for losses, in the regular with 60 more games but it's a matter of fact that we play badly. AV had to make some changes during the game, Sedins with Hansen, Coho-Kes-Higger, Burr-MadMax-Booth, CoHo-MadMax-Higgins, Burrows-Kesler-Booth were all on the ice in the second period, but none of them worked properly. We are playing as it is pre-season, no speed, no chemistry, no passion. And the last one is the most significant problem now. I hope that it is just a downturn but this kind of hecticness wasn't our feature just like fights in every single game which shows our grim and bitterness. Wake up boys. To find the way, we would need the followings at the road trip: Booth scores the first as a Canuck, Burrows and Daniel score a couple of goals, Salo comes back to the line-up, Ballard makes a point, Bieksa is in the three stars in a match and win at least 2 of the 3 games.

The first (and for every Canuck the most important) is in the pocket. It was an excellent game, which can help us to find the right way. I've already known that it will be a huge game for us after those so emotional national anthems. We have shown our strengths. We were calm enough (only one giveaway), energetic enough (lot of breakaways), sober enough (Hank's snow showering and the followings) to mortify the most hatred Chicago. Nothing could put ours off, we played our game and didn't care about the circumstances. Neither Luongo. He had a ridiculous mistake again but stayed self-confident, and had a lot of tremendous saves without any shakiness by the booer fans. The powerplay units (principaly the Sedins-Kesler trio) did their job perfectly, the Hawks had cold feet on these minutes, so everything was more than all right. Only MadMax's misconduct was a pity, if I were AV I wouldn't have had him played in the third, and Volpatti has some unnecessary fights recently, I wouldn't mind a bit harder discipline around the team. But I loved Bieksa's pre-talked fight and Rome's bomb (it was like Abdelkader's first NHL goal against us with Sweatt's last year's beauty) if Salo comes back to the blueline I would bench Bieksa or Ballard for one or two games to fight for their roles because Alberts and Aaron are now overplaying them.

Two matches can be enough to steady down and forget everything you had said before. I started this note with my worries but now when I'm ending it I don't feel any problems. I'm a typical fan, after a win raise your team up to heaven then a loss and send them to hell. I would like to change myself and be like a chess player to look three, four or even ten steps ahead but I cannot. Maybe one or two. It was a very entertaining game against LA, we played very good hockey, we dominated most of the game, but I'm not sure that I would have said the same if we hadn't had 2 minutes 5on3, a tons of luck and a previous year's Luongo performance. If bad things happen, it is a 1-6 game which I can hardly ever imagine to enjoy so much. But good things happened so I'm happy. We have the league best powerplay unit with the three twins (Edler's moves are similar to the Sedins'), with Rome on the blueline three heavy shooters from the back, from now officially the best hip-checker of the league and I could continue the list but you know, if we lose in Disneyland we will be the worst team has ever skated in North-America. But I only demand to be over the line til the end of November.
