Egy pesszimista vélemény:
Thus far (in the past 2 trade deadlines) they've burnt 6 great picks
plus Gorges, Ville N., and Bariball for two second round exits, Rivet,
and a couple rentals that didn't work out or they couldn't re-sign.
(Or add Bernier and change to 3 picks if you like)
This year, they burnt through all kinds of picks again, moving up.
They've already started to bankrupt next year's draft.
By they time they took their 2nd player, the rest of the Pacific
division had already loaded up on 20 good/great picks. Likely amongst
those 20 are a dozen or so who you will be watching beating the crap
out of the Sharks in 2-years.
The time to win is clearly now. It couldn't be more obvious that they
must sign Marleau and Campbell. Even if they do, this year's draft
marks a milestone, where the rest of the division will likely leapfrog
the Sharks in 2-3 years.
