The Hawks will play four exhibition games — two home and two away — against NHL teams instead of the usual eight and will leave for Europe on Sept. 25 after taking on the Minnesota Wild in their final home exhibition.
The Hawks will travel to Zurich, Switzerland, and play two exhibition games against European teams. They then would travel to Helsinki, Finland, and face the Panthers Oct. 2-3 to kick off the NHL season.
