That Selanne is doing all of this at 40 years old makes it even more remarkable. He has 23 goals and 68 points this season, which makes him one of five players in NHL history to reach 20 goals and 60 points after his 40th birthday. The others are Gordie Howe (twice), Mark Messier, Johnny Bucyk and Mark Recchi, who had 23 goals and 61 points in 2008-09. Selanne is three points shy of tying Howe's 1969-70 campaign for the third-most points by someone in their 40s in League history.
