The Ducks extend their winning streak to a season-high five games, the longest since Feb. 17-Mar. 3, 2008 (six games).



Tonight marked Teemu Selanne’s first hat trick (3-0=3) since Feb. 24, 2008 vs. Chicago (3-2=5). It is his 21st career hat trick and 12th with Anaheim. His three power play goals tonight tie the club record for PPG in a single game. Paul Kariya also had three PPG on Mar. 29, 2001 @ San Jose.



Selanne has extended his season-high point streak to four games (5-1=6), which also includes a three-game goal streak (5-0=5), his longest since Feb. 20-29 (four games, 6-2=8). He is now second in the NHL in power play goals with five (three tonight).



Ryan Getzlaf recorded a career-high 0-5=5 assists tonight. It’s just the third time in franchise history the feat has been accomplished (last: Selanne, 11/19/06 vs. Phoenix, 0-5=5). He has also extended his season-high point streak to four games (3-7=10).



The club’s last three PPG effort was on Dec. 10, 2007 @ Columbus in a 4-3 Ducks overtime win.



With two assists tonight, Scott Niedermayer has moved into sole possession of first on the Ducks all-time assists list by a defenseman (127).



Corey Perry has extended his point streak to a season-high five games (2-6=8). It is his longest point streak since his career high seven-game point streak from Jan. 7-20, 2008 (5-7=12).



Tonight marked Francois Beauchemin’s second career OT goal (also Jan. 13, 2008 @ San Jose).



Chris Pronger has earned 0-4=4 assists in the last three games.



Goaltender J.S. Giguere earned his fourth consecutive victory on the season, stopping 34-of-38 shots. He has recorded a 2.90 GAA and .925 SV% during that span. He is just four victories shy of 200 in his NHL career.
