Holick reportedly named Ducks’ affiliate coach

Mark Holick of the Western Hockey League’s Kootenay Ice will be named coach of the Ducks’ American Hockey League affiliate in Syracuse, according to the Kamloops Daily News.

Holick, 41, coached the Ice to fourth place in the 12-team Eastern Conference with a 43-24-3-2 record this season.

He previously coached the British Columbia Hockey League’s Vernon Vipers and the Alberta Junior Hockey League’s Spruce Grove Saints.

Holick has also been on the coaching staff of Canada’s 2009 national under-18 team.

The Ducks signed an affiliation agreement with Syracuse in March after going without a minor league partner this past season. - OCR
