"First and most importantly, the blood infection is gone. That was the doctor's No. 1 concern. Fortunately for me, they caught it early and were able to treat it with antibiotics administered through an IV for four weeks. Not exactly how I wanted to spend a month, but it was necessary.

With that out of the way I can now focus all my energy on getting back this year and helping this team get into the playoffs. The boys are playing great and I'm starting to get excited. It's that time of the year where it's soo much fun to play. Games are more intense, the crowd is louder, every play means so much more. Ahhhh, I'm getting excited here. I just need my body to cooperate now! I'm going to be working at it every day over the two-week Olympic break, and by the end of that I should know if playing again this year is a reality."
