Logan MacMillan, the Ducks’ 2007 first-round pick who’s playing for the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL, was sent home by the parent club following his arrest on a drunk driving charge.
MacMillan was stopped by Bakersfield police at 2 a.m. Monday morning and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license.
A native of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, the 20-year-old winger has seen his stock drop in the last two years after being drafted following a 20-goal, 55-point season with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League).
MacMillan, the son of former NHL player Bob MacMillan, has just two goals and four assists in 30 games with the Condors. A poor training camp was one of the reasons why he landed in Bakersfield. |
